Our Community-Supported Agriculture Agreements
For 2015, we've leased a lot more property and are expanding our operation. We'll be planting an even wider variety of potatoes and squash and greens to meet our CSA and farmers market commitments, in addition to our already well known watermelons, tomatoes and cantaloupes. In our CSA boxes, you will find the best of what we are growing, depending on the time of the year. We have three basic options - a full share, half share and single share.
The full share box is a 3/4 bushel box filled with as much as we can stuff in, and sometime a few things that won't fit in, such as Delta watermelons or Ariel cantaloupes. It'll feed a family quite nicely.
The half share box is just that, a cut-down version of the full share. We usually lessen the quantity of each item so you still get a nice variety. We'll try to grow a smaller watermelon for this version.
The single share is a much more limited version of the above so that a single person won't get a lot of waste.
At present, our CSA comes in two seasons, Winter & Spring thru Fall. Within that, you can buy a weekly version or a BiMonthly version where you only receive shares twice a month. We have made the longer season on the Spring thru Fall to better allow us to calculate our production to meet the needs of the CSA membership. Our payment methods of monthly, installments one a one time payment allow you to choose the method best suited to you.
We also have a'pay as you go' version of our CSA that requires no commitment. Simply buy your box when you want. Its as simple as that. While not as economical as the longer commitments, it works for many people with travel schedules and otherwise hectic lives that might not be suited for full season commitments. This version of our service can be accessed through the store link below.
Here is a partial list of what we plan to grow throughout 2015. Some of the crops we are able to maintain from early summer through fall and some don't suffer the heat as well and go away for the hottest months, but we'll continually be planting something for you to enjoy; A quick and important word about our seed as well.
Our delivery & pickup options are on our Farmigo page in the JOIN OUR CSA links. If you do not see a pickup or delivery point that serves you needs, please let us know and we will sort it out.
WE NEVER, EVER, USE GMO SEED.

Those are our primary crops, but in addition, we also raise exotic crops such as Thai melons, lemon grass, Thai eggplants and Thai pumpkins (great for soup). We have heard our customers and listened to people who have been part of other CSA programs and we have listened. You will not be allowed to get bored with the same old thing all the time. You will get variety and quality.
Should we ever be faced with crop failure for any reason, we will be in touch early with you about this so you will not be caught unaware. You will be offered the option of your box being filled out by produce from partner farmers if you so choose, though there will be an extra fee to cover the additional costs if this is done. Nothing will ever be done without your knowledge or participation.
Our pasture-raised beef are from top quality Brangus and Angus stock. Our calves spend their lives before butcher running our pastures with other calves in open spaces and an environment free of human induced stress. We do provide some high quality corn based feed, but it is released to the animals in the pasture through special calf feeders, so they come and go on this supplemental feed as desired.
As our market grows, also look for us to also add items from partner enterprises, such as eggs, raw milk, breads and more. We'll keep you updated.
We have switched the account management of our CSA to a software system called Farmigo. Below are the links to join and then later, to manage your account. Their database management system is excellent and allows us to better ensure you are getting your boxes and our other store items delivered to you properly and on schedule as well as allow you to request schedule changes and more personally manage your account the way you prefer.
That said, we are always here to answer any questions and concerns of any nature related to your account.
